5 foods for skin health
Hi ,
I’m not sure about you, but after a weekend guzzling chocolate (as we should), I often start to notice a few changes in my body - no matter how good quality chocolate it is.
Sometimes I get headaches, other times sugar highs, but the main thing is my skin. Lots of sugar and sweets take the life out of it a little, and although I’m feeling younger than ever after a 40th yesterday (!!!), I love to nourish my skin from the inside out - and that starts with good quality foods. Here are some that I always reach for:
Walnuts - they provide a similar fatty profile to sustainably-caught fish; aka all of the good stuff and none of the nasties.
Flaxseeds - are rich in an omega-3 fatty acid called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
Avocados (yum!) - are rich in healthy fats and Vitamin E, which support healthy skin.
Green Tea - is rich in antioxidants called catechins, which boost blood flow to the skin. Increased blood flow ensures that the skin cells are regularly receiving fresh oxygen and nutrients, which help to maintain their health.
Water - we're talking about good quality of course, but hydration is key to a healthy, youthful glow!
I hope you’re all feeling fresh and rejuvenated after the little break, and we can’t wait to see your lovely faces again with this week’s deliveries (don’t forget to place your orders here)!
All our love,
Georgie, Ben and the FreshBox team xx
