Hand sanitiser works by killing germs. However, because it doesn’t actually wash the germs away, hot water and soap still remain the best defence against spreading bacteria and virus.
Scrubbing your hands for at least 20 seconds should rid your hands of any germs, dirt and debris. However, when you’re on the go giving your hands a good scrub is not always possible.

Ingredients
Recipe 1
- Vodka (alcohol)
- Aloe vera gel
- Lavender essential oil
- Tea tree essential oil
- Squeeze or spray bottle
Recipe 2
- ½ cup aloe vera gel
- 1 Tbsp colloidal silver
- 2 drops each tea tree, cloves, lavender essential oils(optional)
Recipe 3
- ¼ cup non alcohol witch hazel
- ½ cup aloe vera gel
- 10 drops lavender essential oil
- 5 drops rosemary essential oil
- 15 drops tea tree essential oil
Recipe 4
- ½ cup aloe vera gel
- 2 drops rosemary essential oil
- 15 drops tea tree essential oil (You can also add 2 drops of clove or cinnamon leaf)
Instructions
- Fill your bottle with liquids and essential oils. Recipes containing 60% Alcohol are most effective.
- Add aloe vera gel
- The aloe vera will make the solution gentler on your skin but don’t overdo it or you’ll risk diluting the mixture.
- Give it a mix
Simply shake the bottle and throw it into your handbag, ready for action.
